Why Torque Sensor
The torque sensor pedal assist systems measure the amount of power you are putting into the pedals and it will increase or decrease the electric assist based on your pedaling power, providing smoother acceleration, better hill-climbing capability, and improved energy efficiency. This results in a more intuitive and enjoyable ride, making torque sensing e-bikes a preferred choice for many cyclists. They are also generally found on the more expensive e-bikes or e-bike kits.

The HovRanger is a great bike. It met all of my expectations and enjoy riding it to run errands or going for rides on the beach! The Customer service team responds promptly, usually the next day due to the time difference.

My wife and I have been looking for a set of E-Bikes. The HOVSCO™ HovRanger 27.5" Step-Thru Commuter meets our needs. The Torque Sensor and Throttle are really nice. It makes the bike feel like a regular bike with a little more power. The bikes are easy to assemble, but one needs to check that all the screws are tight and the cables are routed as they were intended.
Unlocking the bike was easy with a little help from HOVSCO. The App works but has some bugs in it. But once you have the APP connected to the bike it works reasonably well. It is very primitive, but it does work. You do not need the APP to unlock the bike.
One drawback I found is that I am 6'6" and the seat post is too short to meet my inseam length and maintain the minimum insertion depth on the post. I ordered another seat post with the proper length for the bike. We also replaced the standard seat with something a bit more comfortable.
Overall, the bike rides really well and we are enjoying them.

I have been looking at ditching my work commute for an e-bike. After I got hovranger, I use this bike to commute to work, explore Virginia with my wife and two kids, and use it to run small errands around time.

I just bought and assembled the Hovalpha dark red .. a beautiful ride. And then I got this rose pink commuter for my girlfriend Janis, a perfect matched pair.. like us.

I really like my step-trough HovRanger. The bike feels really solid and the motor truly has power. The tires are great and so far have been puncture resistant. The hydraulic brake are excellent. The saddle is just okay, not bad but can get uncomfortable after extended riding.
